OUR STORY

Welcome to Thirsty River

Nestled in the Julian Alps of Slovenia, Thirsty River Brewing was born from a shared passion for craft beer and adventure. Founded in 2017 by Chad and Ana Meinel, we bring handcrafted beers, spirits, and unforgettable experiences to locals and visitors of the Soča Valley.

With 15 rotating taps, our lineup has something for everyone, from light lagers to bold IPAs, dark ales, and sours. To complete the experience, we serve fresh 100% beef smash burgers for lunch and dinner.

We welcome all types of travelers with budget-friendly hostel stays above the taproom, as well as a spacious apartment with private parking, a yard, and a barbecue.

Having brewed over 150 beers in the past decade, our new canning line lets you take a piece of the Soča Valley home, or have it delivered to your door in just a day or two.
